CARE AND INFORMATION

A new driveway can lose its' tenderness in anywhere from 30 days to a year depending on many factors. Be Pateient!! The flexible material will become more durable as it ages and in the long run give your driveway a longer life.
  1. Don't put the car (s) on the driveway for at least 1 week!  And don't walk on it for 2 days!
  2. For a period of time, the driveway might show areas of roller marks, footprints, or tamp marks, etc. This is normal as asphalt cures; these areas will become less and less noticeable.
  3. Don't turn the car's front wheels while standing still, particularly with power steering (car must be in motion).  This causes the asphalt to smudge, flake and become porous.
  4. For a period of time there will be surface porosity and tire marks, in time the pores will seal and the asphalt will cure, and the tire marks will disappear.
  5. Don't park the car in the same spot each time. Change its' position each time you park to prevent displacement.
  6. Don't allow large heavy vehicles in your driveway, as they may cause depressions.
  7. Don't drive or park near edges of your driveway, this may cause edges to crack.
  8. Don't place sharp or pointed objects on a blacktop driveway. They will cause holes and indentations.
  9. Shallow puddles on asphalt appear much deeper.  We cannot eliminate puddles under 1/2 of an ince.
  10. Don't put dirt on sides of driveway for at least one full year, unless you put plastic down first.
  11. Don't allow weeds to crowd edges. In the summer during the peak of thier growth, they have been known to lift the edges or grow right through the blacktop.
  12. On occasion, weeds and grass will grow through asphalt. The County Agricultural Department suggests you use a weed killer. We cannot be responsible for this and suggest you contact the County Agricultural Department for further information.
  13. Sometimes after paving is completed, your lawn may be higher or lower than the new driveway.
  14. Don't allow gas to leak or spill on driveway.  This will dissolve the asphalt from the stone and create a hole.
  15. Don't Seal your driveway until 2 years after the topping is applied.
We appreciate your business and want you to be a satisfied customer.
