DRIVEWAY SEALING
The key to a long-lasting driveway is sealing it every 2 years. Sealing a driveway protects it from sun damage, moisture
and chemical intrusion.
1. We begin by cleaning the driveway using high speed blowers.
2. Areas that have been affected by gasoline or oil will be treated with oil-spot primer.
NOTE: There is no guarantee an oil/gas spot will not bleed through. In most cases they will bleed through.
3. Driveways with a large number of cracks or spider cracks will then be crack treated tot he best of our ability. In some
cases, it is not cost-effective or a benefit to fill every crack. We will only fill the cracks that we deem necessary for
the structure of the driveway.
NOTE: A complete crack treatment does NOT mean the cracks will disappear. The goal is to prevent moisture
from penetrating into the exposed underlaying of the asphalt, which will result in rapid deterioration. Even after the crack
treatment is applied and sealed over, the treatment will be visible and will become more visible with time.
4. The sealer is applied to the driveway with wire-bristled brooms.
5. String barrier will be erected at the end of the driveway upon completion.
